Ahsan Manzil was basically a palace belonged to the Nawab Family of Dhaka. The palace is located in the Buringanga River Bank. The building was built in Indo-Saracenic Revival architecture. Ahsan Manzil has twenty two galleries that will fill your curiosity about Mughal and Hindustani era.The first and second gallery give their brief explanation about how Ahsan Manzil was built. They also provide visitors with the pictures of the Ahsan Manzil's evolution. The third gallery exhibit cupboard, mirrors, and clay crocks. Gallery 4 and 5 are mainly display armours and swords. For the sixth gallery, the collection inside is quiet unique since its collection was taken from the instruments and registers used in Ahsan Ullah Memorial Hospital. If you are planning to visit Ahsan Manzil, you can buy the ticket directly from the ticket booth there. The tickets are cost 5 TK for a local tourist and 75 TK for foreigners.

To get around Ahsan Manzil it is best to go by foot since you will be going around the complex and you might want to stop for a bit to take some pictures.
What Should I Wear?
If you are planning to visit Lalbagh Fort, there is no dress code that you need to follow. However, as Lalbagh Fort is located in Bangladesh where the citizens are mostly Muslim, it is best to wear something conservative or wear something that cover your arms and knees. Best Time to Visit
Lalbagh Fort has variety of opening times based on the season. On summer, the fort is open from 10.30 am to 5.30 pm . The previous schedule is applied on Wednesday to Saturday. On Friday, they extend the break for the Jummah prayer so the opening time is start on 3 pm. During winter, their opening time is an hour earlier than the summer schedule. It is best to visit based on the time in the schedule. However, never plan to visit the fort on Thursday because the fort is close on that day.

How To Get There?
Ahsan Manzil is located in the southern part of Dhaka city. It is recommended to go there by taxi or car. The tour to Ahsan Manzil from Dhaka will took around fifty minutes of driving via Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Avenue. If you are going to the fort from some nearby places, you can also ride a rickshaw. However, be careful with the prices that the driver offered to you.
Ahsan Manzil is located in Bangladesh where predominantly the citizens are Muslim. If you are planning to visit the fort, never go there after 4 pm on Ramadhan because the fort is only open until 4 pm in Ramadhan month. There is also a museum and cafe inside the complex.
