It's also not the best idea to go there when the prices are at their highest.



Will I Need a Guide?

It is not necessary to look for travel agencies because it's easy to find your way around Bohol although you can if you want to. Usually, Alona Beach tours, dive centers and travel agencies will already be around the beach. A personal tour by car with a driver costs from 2000 to 3000 pesos. A travel guide will need an additional charge but it will be a good deal since they'll tell you the things to do at Alona Beach. A private motorboat can be rented for half a day for around 1300 to 2000 pesos. A Bohol tour bus for a group costs around 400 pesos.

How To Get There?

The Port of Tagbilaran is the closest to Alona Beach and it is the most ideal transit. Visitors can go by car, motorbike or jeepney 20 kilometres from there. To go to Tagbilaran from Manila, you will need to go by plane. Once you've reached Tagbilaran, go to Alona Beach from there. To go to Tagbilaran from Dumaguete, you will need to go by a fast ferry. The ferry would cost 650 pesos and take 2 hours long. Once you've reached Tagbilaran, go to Alona Beach from there.

Additional Info

Choose well when renting a boat. Some boats will charge you too much and might not pick you up on time. It is not recommended to rent private boats. Private boats costs way too much and will not take you to good places. When diving or snorkelling, you should probably go with dive boats. Choosing the right deals for a price is important.
