On March 2012, the museum introduced the world with its interesting satellite facility in the nearby area of Palm Desert. Featuring an 8,400-square foot building named the Galen, which is unique for its architecture distinctiveness. Representing famous artworks in different fields like sculpture, painting, photography, and modern media, through its temporary exhibitions, the Galen is surely worth a visit at least once a lifetime. Enjoy the breathtaking and delicate architecture of the building which is not only a modern urban chic structure but is also the first LEED-certified design. Four individual galleries frame the interiors of the building. The Annette Bloch Education Wing organizes educational programs to entertain visitors of all ages. The Galen is further surrounded by stunning Faye Sarkowsky Sculpture Garden which houses more than ten beautifully carved sculptures. Set in a magnificent desert oasis landscape, the garden features native plants, winding walkways, natural rock benches, it holds works of Betty Gold, Donald Judd, Gio Pomodoro, etc.
