The Basilica of Saint-Sernin or also called Basilica de Sant Sarninin Occitan is a church which is the former Abbey of Saint-Sernin, but now only consists of the church. It got its name from Saint Sernin, the first bishop of Toulouse in the 3rd century who was murdered.
