The Canadian Museum of Nature features eight permanent galleries named, Earth, fossil, mammal, bird, nature live, water, stone wall, and Canada Goose Arctic Gallery. The showcasing of main programs, galleries, and exhibits takes place in the Victoria Memorial Building of the museum. The vast geological section highlights more than eighty thousand specimens. It includes flaunting varieties of meteorites, precious stones, ornamental building stones, rocks, minerals, and fossils. The coin gallery is famous for its unique assemblage of more than fifty thousand ancient and modern coins. It also includes a replica of some original coins from Indigenous inscribed coins of fifth century BC to the current currencies of the United States of America.



Opened in 1912; the Canadian Museum of Nature features four major groups of natural history and natural science. They are Botany, Geology, Paleontology, and Zoology. Earlier the museum was popular with name 'National Museum of Natural Science.' It exhibits eight permanent galleries and a vast collection along with Natural Heritage Campus. The Victoria Memorial Museum Building is famous for its highlights such as fossils of dioramas, dinosaurs and marine reptiles, minerals and rocks including the formation of planets, Canadian wild animals, a blue whale Skelton, more than five hundred species of Canadian birds, live insects, slugs, and multiple of interactive activities and more.
