The Mexican cuisine is a delicatessen all over the world. Amidst the beauty of Mexico, a visit to the city's lungs is worth the time. No, it's no human-made lungs, rather it is the fresh air which comes from an abundance of trees. This greenery is situated on the Chapultepec Hill covering an area of 1,695 acres. It is famously known as the Bosque de Chapultepec and is the largest park in the Western Hemisphere. The park's historical significance dates back to the Pre-columbian era when the place was a retreat for the Aztec rulers. Later, during the colonial era, the Chapultepec Castle was constructed here for the residential purpose of the Mexican head of the state. This famous ecological space of Mexico is divided into three section, out of which the section is mostly thronged by visitors and is the oldest. This part of Bosque de Chapultepec contains the Museum of Anthropology, Rufino Tamayo Museum, and the Chapultepec Zoo. Then there is a beautiful artificial Lake known as the El Lago de Chapultepec, where visitors can enjoy a boating ride. In the second section of the park, there are two more lakes known as Lake Menor and Lake Mayor.

Here visitors can see the remnants of the spring from which water was conveyed to a temple. Next is the statue of Nezahualcototl, who was the then poet-king of Texcoco. There is also a large fountain worth seeing in the park. This park is a living legend of the Battle of Chapultepec, where several Los Niños Heroes, aged 13-19 had lost their lives. So a six marble structure was constructed to commemorate their valor.
Another attraction worth seeing in Chapultepek park is an artificial lake named El Lago de Chapultepec. It is located near the Chapultepec castle and the zoo.
