Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is one of the finest attractions in Cleveland spread over an area of 183-acre land. It is located in close proximity to the Cleveland Museum of Art at Wade Park surrounding the University Circle. It is located on the shore of Waterfowl Lake that houses some of the prominent species of birds that makes a spectacular sighting for visitors. The Zoo is divided into various areas that house different species. Each area recreates different adventure sights from across the globe that includes African Savanna, Asian Highlands, Tropical Rainforests, Temperate Climate of North and Lake view of the island surrounded by water. It houses 18 reservations with eight golf courses, eight lakefront parks, and zoo life. The Zoo is not only a perfect location for sightseeing but is more of an educational tour that offers public knowledge about the various habitat educating them regarding climate change, deforestation and how to save the endangered species of the world. Individuals and children can look into the history of our ecosystem and learn in depth about the animals through the 4-D theatre and attractions located within the zoo. The Zoo is designed in a contemporary style that fits perfects for the diverse habitat residing inside. The place houses more over 3,000 animal and tropical plants belonging to 600 different species. The 8-acre area of Australian Adventure recreates the Australian habitat. The 55-foot Yagga Tree is the central attraction that comprises animal exhibits and slides for children to play on. In it is contained more than 10,000 plant and 600 animal species, a 25-foot waterfall and the ancient ruins of Mayans. Visitors can further visit the gift-shop, cafeteria which is a treat for on-lookers.

Visitors can book tickets online by visiting the official website of zoo and avail tickets for $1 discounts. The tickets are available at different pricing for Adults, Senior Citizens, Children from 2 to 11 years of age. The entry for children below 2 is free.

How To Get Around?

The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo covers 74-acres of land. The Zoo comprises parking slots for visitors to park their vehicles. Further, they can go around the entire zoo on foot for witnessing the various adventure places and diverse animals and plants that are resident there.

The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is open for visitors throughout the year. The zoo is open from morning 10 to evening 5 pm all seven days of the week. The zoo remains closed on Labor Day. The best time to visit the zoo is any time through the seven days, however, getting tickets on Monday can be tricky as it remains the busiest day amongst all other days.
