Faisal Mosque is the third biggest mosque in the world after Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah and Masjid Nabawi in Medina. The mosque was built in 1986 by a Turkish architect, Vedat Dalokay. Its building process was funded by the king of Saudi Arabia, King Faisal bin Abdul Aziz which named is taken to be the name of the mosque. The architecture of the mosque was inspired by the Beduoin's tent and the Ka'ba in Mecca. Faisal Mosque is located on the Margalla Hills, Islamabad. Muhammad Zia Ul Haq or people also known as Zia Ul Haq was the late president of Pakistan. Inside the Faisal Mosque, you will see Zia Ul Haq's mausoleum. Zia Ul Haq was killed on a plane accident after his visit to Bahawalpur on 1988. Take a look on Zia Ul Haq's mausoleum and you can also pray there.
