Situated in the heart of Spain, PortAventura World features the adventurous Ferrari Land, along with several other attractions such as a water park Caribe Aquatic Park, and PortAventura theme park. It is one of the best places to spend a weekend with your family, friends or colleagues.
Fascinating Ferrari Land: Get, Set, Go!
Based on Soarin', the original flying theater attraction, Flying Dreams features ride vehicles that soars you above vistas. The theme is similar to the Disney attraction where the ride moves in synchronization with movements projected on a huge screen installed in a hemispheric dome. The storyline takes riders on a brand new Ferrari GT starting the ride from the carmaker's factory in Italy and carries through a world tour lands at Ferrari Land.
Racing Legends is a motion simulator ride that uses PortAventura World's trickery to have guests seated in Ferrari F1 race cars. The riders are then sent through the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya course. This is a good chance to travel back in time since one of the journeys include an early 20th-century ride having Enzo Ferrari alongside. The domed theater screen is a similar theme to The Universal parks' Simpsons ride.
Eager for a more thrilling experience than simulators? Drive actual cars in the Maranello Grand Race. Ride your favorite car and show off your driving skills to your opponents and beat them. Although these cars do not match the speeds of real cars since they are just go-karts, their design and appearance like Ferrari F1 cars are enough to gain attention from visitors. Unaccompanied children must be at least 51 inches tall to ride one of the cars. In case the child is shorter, he/she must have an adult alongside. Children shorter than 40 inches are not allowed. Junior Championship, a similar ride, is designed exclusively for younger kids.
Pole Position Challenge features similar simulators as used for training Ferrari F1 drivers. It contains two simulators for children and six for adults. Just make a reservation and taking your favorite positions will be easier for you. However, you can also go early in the day for the same. Admission to this attraction and Pit Stop Record charges an additional fee. Two teams race against each other in which they need to change an F1 car tire in the best time.
Ferrari Land introduced a new area in 2018 which features rides especially made for younger children. The most famous of these rides is Junior Red Force that's perfect for kids of about 37 inches tall and below. The second most loved ride is a toned-down Kids Tower eliciting a lot of kids' attention. There are also many spinning rides kids love to ride.
