Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, or GWK is a widely known attraction located in Jimbaran City. Most people recognize the cultural park from a collosal statue of Vishnu depicted riding on Garuda's back, and apparently it is not his final form yet. Conducted by a Balinese artist and sculptor Nyoman Nuarta, the GWK project have been progressing continuously since 1997. Most people estimated that once it is completed, the copper-steel statue would stand in 145-metre tall while the Garuda statue will have 64-metres long wings. Visitors are not only able to marvel at the gigantic statue, but they can also taking in the scenic view of the whole island and the vast blue ocean.
