The Flora at the Guindy National Park
The Flora of the national park include around 350 species of plants which further include climbers, herbs, shrubs, trees, creepers, grasses, plants and much more. The park also has a huge grassland out which one-sixth of an area has been maintained for blackbucks. The Guindy Snake Park is a part of the Guindy National Park campus. The park houses a number of snakes of various species and types including pythons, cobras, vipers, adders, and many others. There are 23 species of snakes, 7 species of crocodiles, 3 various species of turtles and tortoises each, and 6 various species of lizards. A small auditorium is also included in the premises of the park with a projector that displays the exhibits of the park and is a touch screen so that it becomes more attractive as well as interactive. There is also a library, which has a number of books stocked in its premises about the same and also a museum which displays the preserved specimens of various reptiles.
The Childrenís Park
The Childrenís Park is also housed in the premises of the Guindy National Park and is a home to the animals who are harmless and to which the children can interact easily and play along.
