Completed in 1993, this second largest mosque in Africa is stand in the headland looking out to the Atlantic Oceans. The mosque which is located at Bd Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdallah in Casablanca is built on nine hectares areas. The construction of this mosque is involving 1400 workers, 10,000 artists and craftsmen. The artist and craftsmen were commissioned to beautify the mosque.

Join the tours at Hassan II Mosque
You can see the Mosque's outside part without buying tickets. However, you have to pay for the guided tours. By joining the tours, you are able to see the majestic part of the Mosque, you will not anything, even the tiny and details part. The guided tours cost 120 DH which is about €11 or $12.50 US. Do not worry about the language because the tours are conducted in many languages, such as English, French, German or Spanish. Before join the tours, you have to specify in which language you want the tours. Make sure that you follow the right tour since there are lots of people and guided tours. The Mosque starts the tours with Spanish before they find the English guided tours.

The library offers 860 seats, 107 work stations supported by Internet and some 200 000 documents containing all human sciences and academic disciplines.
How to Get Tickets?
You can purchase your tickets at the tickets office which is right at the beginning of the Mosque's complex, in front of the parking area. The online tickets are not available. If you are planning to take the tours, you have to buy tickets from the tickets outlets. The tours will take time about 45 minutes, but make sure that you arrive 30 minutes before the tours are held.

What Should I Wear?
Since Hassan II Mosque, you have to dress respectfully. Women's head scarf is not required. Your knees and your shoulder should be covered. When entering the mosque, you have to remove your shoes but the mosque's staff prepares a bag to carry your shoes. If you do not want to walk barefoot, you may wear your socks.

How To Get There?
Getting to the Hassan II Mosque is easy. By airplane, if you are arriving at Casablanca Airport, you can use car, tram, train, taxi or shuttle services. For taxi and car, it takes 30 minutes to arrive at the Hassan II Mosque, while train and tram will take 1 hour and a half.
Though Hassan II Mosque is an important place for worship, but the garden and prayer halls are also open to non-Muslims (providing they notice the dress code) via guided tour. The Mosque Hassan II is closed during the five daily prayer times and on Friday it has a limited time to be visited.
