The Western Pleasure Gardens are ornamental gardens which were built in the 19th century and has a peaceful environment for relaxation and recreation. The gardens also have pools, plants and summerhouses. There is a tunnel which leads to a beautiful flower garden. Huge stones are parked outside the tunnel to make it appear like a cave. The lake is known for its great carp fishing and is decked with rudds, tench, roach, chub and bream.

The Heaton Park Tramway consists of a horse tram and three other electrical trams. The tramway's construction was completed in the year 1979 and was opened to the public officially in the next year in 1980 in the month of March.
