The Herastrau Park is one of the well-known green oasis in the Bucharest. It expands around 100 hectares and the lake covers around 70 hectares which are so huge as well. This park also a paradise for a biker, runners and other sports activities as well. This is also the relaxation center in the Northern side of Bucharest and a great place for Romanian Capital's Expect. This park borders the Village Museum which also has the view of a beautiful lake and an ideal place to take a boat in the Bucharest. If you visit this park for running, as other people do, then you have to know that the main lane around the park and lake was around 5.9 kilometers long which is a very good place to train the marathon as well.

The first thing that you will meet when entering this park from the Piata Charles de Gaulle is the bronze, huge and tall statue of de Gaulle. It was officially published in 2006. The statue is the work of the local artist named Mircea Corneliu which been ordered by the Ministry of Culture to commemorate the hosting during that year. You should know that Charles de Gaulle is not the only historical public which been honored in this park with the statue. Even there are alleys and paths spread from the entryway were all filled by the famous people. Even, there is the memorial to honor Michael Jackson for real.

There is the adventure park in this Herastrau opens from 10 am to 8 pm. It has four trails in different difficulties, there is no specifically challenging. One route is served for children between four to seven years old then other routes were served for children eight years old and above.
