House of Vettii is owned by two successful freedmen: Aulus Vettius Conviva, an Augustalis, and Aulus Vettius Restitutus. The name was taken from its owners, Vettii and the function of this house is to show the wealth level of Vettii brothers. Located in the region VI near the gates of Vesuvian, House of Vettii is one of the biggest domus (Roman Townhouse) in Pompeii.
