Frost Flying Hall or Feishuang Hall lies to the west of the pear garden. It served as the bedroom palace of the emperor. The name Frost Flying Hall draws its origin from a prevalent belief. It is believed that the design of the bedroom is such that is remains warm even during winters. So when snow fell upon it, it turned into frost bestowing it with the name of the Frost Flying Hall.
The Nine Dragon Lake
To the south of the beautiful Pear Garden, lies a serene and exotic Nine Dragon Lake, stretching out to a massive area of about five hundred and thirty square meters. Divided into two sections, with the strait crossing the long Nine-Dragon Bridge, the mystifying Nine Dragon Lake gives a perfect royal touch to the pool area. The bridge is adorned with eight dragons spitting water over it and one dragon under the bridge, making it a total of nine dragons which also owes the lake its unique name.
