Huashan 1914 Cultural Park was built in 1914, and was used as a private-wine factory that produce sake (Japanese rice wine). The plant was later closed and abandoned in 1987. In 1997, an arts group discovered the building and found their inspiration to turn it into a venue to perform, workshops, and even installations. They sent a proposal to the Council for Cultural Affairs, and finally after showing so much persistence and also public demand, the Council decided to grant them a permit to use the building. It is the closest point to get to the creative park as you only need to walk for 5 minutes until you reach the creative park.
