Visiting Jag Mandir Udaipur

4.5 (100%) 769 votes

Jag Mandir is an exotic palace constructed on an island in the heart of Lake Pichola, Udaipur, in Rajasthan. It is also referred to as the 'Lake Garden Palace'. The construction of Jag Mandir is credited to three Maharanas of Mewar Kingdom's Sisodia Rajputs. The Jagmandir Island Palace, nearly 800m southward of Jagniwas, was constructed by Maharana Karan Singh II in 1620, expanded by his successor Jagat Singh, and then modified a little towards its last few years before it was partially converted into a glorious hotel. When completely lit up at nighttime, the palace has a much more romantic sparkle to it as compared to the Lake Palace. Along with 7 remarkable and spacious hotel rooms, the Jag Mandir has a bar, spa, and restaurant open every day for visitors.
