Kansas City Zoo is a 202-acre (82 ha) zoo established in 1909. It sits in the heartland of the historic Swope Park at 6800 Zoo Drive, in Missouri, United States. Kansas City Zoo has a Friends of the Zoo program in place. It is an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and home to over 1,700 animals. In 2008, the zoo was voted one of the best zoos in America.

How to Get Tickets?

Kansas City Zoo tickets can be purchased online from the official website of Kansas City Zoo or directly at the zoo entrance. Since queues are generally long and buying tickets can waste a lot of time therefore you must either look to reach well in time or prefer purchasing tickets online.

How To Get Around?

Kansas City Zoo can be reached by train, bus, and metro. If you are coming from Kansas City, the best recommended option is to take Line 18 Bus that takes 36 minutes to reach Kansas City Zoo. Another option is to take a cab to reach the zoo in around 15 minutes.

What Should I Wear?

The zoo has no dress code as such, so you can wear what best strikes your fancy. You can choose to be classy, casual or sporty. A chic jeans or short be extremely comfortable while shorts or jeans with a Polo T or casual shirt might do the trick for the boys. Avoid high heels as it might make getting around a whole lot uncomfortable and you must, therefore, prefer sport shoes, or sneakers, which can help you stay comfortable and walk the extra yard.
