Built in and around a greenhouse, Kobe Animal Kingdom brings a vibe of farm zoo though farm and house animals are not the only thing you'll see here! In fact, Kobe Animal Kingdom also house numerous wild animals you often see in zoos. The most fun thing is, you won't only be their spectators you can also interact with them. That's the primary reason why you should absolutely visit Kobe and its Kobe Animal Kingdom when you're visiting Japan.

Visiting The Petting Zoo is one way for them to interact with their favorite fluffy animals.

If petting cats, dogs, and small house animals don't satisfy you yet, you can pet the bigger animals in the Interactive Zone. You might even never think that you would ever pet some of the animals here, such as alpacas, kangaroos, Patagonian maras, and giant hamsters called capybaras. Adorable Japanese red pandas are found in this themed park too. Some of them are tame and unbothered when the visitors come to pet them though several of them would rather observe the humans from the tree branch. The visitors are also allowed to feed the animals. There are food dispensers placed at each corner of the zoo where you can buy one packets chow small amount of money that you can give to the animals. Try to feed a bird and watch as they flying down from a tree to your shoulder and nibble the snack you give.Now that's something you don't find often in most zoos, right?

Located in the same area inside the greenhouse is the Exotic Birds Zone. You can see various tropical birds such as colorful parrots, toucans, and owls flying freely over your head. They are also tame, you can have them perch on your arm if you want. If you're lucky you can even watch a very interesting bird show held daily in the aviary. Watch as the train birds maneuvering in the air to perform trick following commands from their trainer.

Another Interactive Zone in Kobe Animal Kingdom is located outside the greenhouse, designated for bigger size animals. Kangaroos, alpacas, horses, and other bigger size quadrupeds are roaming freely. They are also quite tame and allow visitors to pet and even feed them. You can also go for a horse rides around the area.

The Arctic Zone is one of few areas where the animals are caged, and it is very reasonable. Arctic Animals Zone house numerous arctic and sea animals. Here you can interact with adorable herds of African Penguin and seals.
