Lithuanian Zoo or also known as Kaunas Zoo is the oldest scientific zoo in Lithuania. Located in the south-western part of Kaunas, Lithuanian Zoo has the area of 15,66 hectares. The zoo was first initiated by Lithuanian zoologist, Tadas Ivanauskas in 1935. The zoo was first opened in 1938 with 40 animals . At this present time, the zoo has the collection of 2166 animals that come from many species.

In the outgoing education, a team from Lithuanian Zoo will bring some small animals outside to some schools to let the students learn from from the animals directly. The cognitive course ticket costs 1 euro, excluded from the entrance ticket and the outgoing education ticket costs 2 euro per person.
