Merry-Go-Round Museum was opened on 14th July 1990 but the idea for the museum has begun in the year 1988. It was on October 1, 1988, the series of 4 carousel stamps have been issued by U.S. Post Office. The first set of stamps was mainly designed by Famous Paul Calle of Stamford. The featured animal was first born in the Kiddieland carousel in Cedar Point. Group of residents mainly organized a meeting for displaying armored horse carousel piece for showing it on stamps with many borrowed pieces so Cedar Point does not get all the attention. Issue ceremony was conducted at Sandusky amusement park with more number of people has been participating in the ceremony.

Muller’s Military Horse is one of the most famous and magnificent carousel horses. Muller’s Military Horse has been specially carved Daniel C. Muller in 1917. Muller’s Military Horse is quite simple than that of showcasing the fascination of the Muller’s work during the pre-World War II Calvary mounts and Civil War mounts. Mainly, it becomes more fame for its original look and haunted carousel horse made with the existence. It is mainly carved in the basswood and extensively painted with the enamels. Few changes have been made through the years but the legend of the Haunted Steed gives quite a marvelous look. Mrs. Muller instantly loved this epic masterpiece made by her husband. There are also rumors that her ghost is present in the Cedar Point Carousel and rides it after her death. Mrs. Muller had more love for the horse and even her ghost does not allow anyone to easily photograph her horse. A replica of the Muller’s Military Horse is present in the Merry-Go-Round Museum. Even many people have stated that they heard Mrs. Muller’s ghost walks around this place.

A new platform in the Museum was constructed by the staff as well as volunteers to bring the Carousel to life,
