Mohatta Palace is a palace that is turned into a museum and is situated in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. The seaside locale built the beautiful point of attraction on Clifton by Shivratan Chandraratan Mohatta who was a Hindu based Marwari businessman from Rajasthan. The museum was built in 1927. It was open for the public as a museum in 1999 after the controversial part of the palace. The ancient piece of art stands out uniquely in the city of Karachi. The beautiful place includes a blend of two types of stones. The pink stones were specially imported from Jodhpur, and traditional yellow stones were from Gizri. The palace was built for the summer place to enjoy the relaxation time in warm weather. It was strategically constructed to serve the multiple benefits in the midsummer as the beach is merely 2 km away from the palace. The palace is also surrounded by the historical story of the love tales which may remind one of Taj Mahal as well. With the romantic past, the palace also follows up with the haunted past as per the localities. The belief varies from person to person, but there are no solid proofs to justify the statement. The designs and the sculptures on display let the visitor know about the mindset of the people of those ancient times.
