For individual with rail-passes, the ticket price for Kriens/Alpnachstad-Pilatus Kulm-Kriens/Alpnachstad is CHF 36. For group of people (10 or more) , the ticket prices for Kriens/Alpnachstad – Pilatus Kulm–Kriens/Alpnachstad are CHF 57.60 for adults and CHF 28.80 for children(6-16), the ticket prices for Kriens–Krienseregg–Kriens are CHF 16 for adults and CHF 8 for children(6-16). How To Get There?
There are few sections you can take for Mount Pilatus tour. First, by train or boat from the rail station in Lucerne to Alpnachstad. Second, by cogwheel train to the peak of Mount Pilatus. Third, by cable car down to Fräkmüntegg. Fourth, by gondola down to Kriens. Fifth, by bus back to the rail station of Lucerne. Also it's important to note that you can reach Mount Pilatus all year round, but sometimes only one route is operational. The cogwheel train from Alpnachstad to the top does not operate from 19 November 2018 to mid May 2019. The cableway from Kriens to the top does not operate from 22 October to 9 November 2018. The cogwheel train is closed during the winter from mid-November to mid-May. A Swiss Travel Pass will get you 50% off cable car tickets.
