A beautiful day at the Mount Solaro
The AMERICAN BAR 'CANZONE DEL CIELO' at the Mount Solaro is located at the highest point of the mountain and is an American bar. Formed by a complex of terraces, the cafe houses a large solarium and offers a splendid view of the city with some of the best dining features and food items. You can hog upon a number of dishes which are of extreme delight both locally and internationally including some of your favourites from Italy including pizzas, pasta, burgers and much more along with a great deal of beverages. The Cetrella Hermitage at the Mount Solaro is another amazing attraction of the mountain which can be spotted while you are coming down from the mountain while hiking. Along with its amazing and lush vegetation, the Cetrella Hermitage is famous for the church of Santa Maria located at the same site which is surrounded with numerous oak and pine trees along with some blooming orchids. The church houses the depiction of the Virgin Mary. The church makes for quite an attraction in the Cetrella Hermitage and most of the people who walk down the mountain stop here to admire the beauty of the valley and seek blessings at the church.
Mount Solaro is quite rich in species of flora and fauna. With lush vegetation and numerous habitat areas for the animals, the mountain makes for a great spot for the flora and fauna to flourish. Around 900 species of vegetation can be spotted on the mountain which include rock roses, juniper, acanthus, orchids, oaks, pines, Daphne shrubs, laurels, strawberry trees, broom, heather, smilace, ilex, litosperma, narcissus, lentisk, and many more. Numerous birds also visit the mountain including the peregrine falcons.
How to Get Tickets?
Tickets are not required and the Mount Solaro is free of any levied charges. However, the chairlift may require tickets.

The mountain can be accessed on foot via hiking or through chairlifts.
What Should I Wear?
Wear a short-sleeved t-shirt or top along with trousers or denim shorts. Carry sunglasses and a cap. Wear comfortable hiking shoes that have a good grip and firm hold. Wear sports gloves.
Best Time to Visit
The mountain is open on all days at all times and it's always beautiful to visit it at any time. However, it's recommended to go there during autumn, which is from September to October, because the view is even more beautiful. From March to October, the chairlift can be accessed from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm only. From November to February, it's accessible from 10.30 am to 3.00 pm.

How To Get There?
You can reach there by boarding a flight to Capri International Airport. The city is thoroughly connected with nearby cities and countries through majority of airlines. You can also take the train if you are traveling from nearby cities or towns.
Carry a water bottle, camera, binoculars, extra pair of shoes and other essentials. Do not take the chairlift with very young kids. Do not move a lot in a chairlift. If you wish to take a hike, go at a time when there is light and not in the dark for safety reasons.
