The Municipal House in Prague is a highly esteemed cultural location in the city. It is one of the finest buildings in Europe which is also the first Art Nouveau building in the entire city. The Smetana Hall in the House is the most celebrated of all. Constant concerts and musical nights are held here that witnesses plenty of public dancing and swaying to the music. The inside of the Municipal House is huge rooms which are magnificent and designed with finesse. The designs and architecture are a mix of vintage and contemporary art. The huge ambiance of hall comprises many more halls where different activities are held around the year. Opened first in the year 1912, the place was built on the site which formerly comprised of a Royal Palace. Inside the Municipal House, you can find many other places to visit. There is a Café Restaurant that serves some of the finest French cuisines, traditional Cafes, exhibition houses that conduct art and architecture exhibits and the famous Czech Republic Beer hall-style restaurant. Visitors can tour around the place as well as satiate their hunger in the finest restaurants. This is the most popular sight in the Municipal House. It is the central area that is decorated in the style of Medallion of Bedrich Smetana. How to Get Tickets?

The Municipal House is open for public viewing throughout the year. The entry ticket costs from 290 CZK to 500 CZK based on the package you take i.e. either Basic, reduced or Family. The tickets for the concerts and various exhibitions held in the place can be bought either online or directly from the ticket office. No is no entry fee for children below 10 years.

How To Get Around?

Visitors can move around on foot to witness the entire location. The place also offers wheelchair access for elderly and needy, the booking of which has to be done in prior at the time of availing tickets. The place is well connected to the surrounding regions and the visitors are guided for reaching different places inside the Municipal House.

The Municipal House is open throughout the year for visitors. It remains open from Morning 10 am to evening 8. pm. People can visit the different dimensions and halls of the building and enjoy the exotic sightseeing, architecture, and pleasantries. The best time to visit is between 12 pm to 1 pm if you wish to take part in the concerts and in the morning if you wish to view the exhibitions and architecture of the place.

There are many options for reaching the attraction place. If you are coming by flight reach the Prague airport and either hire a private car or any vehicle to reach the Municipal House. There are many accommodation places located nearby to it. You can also reach by public transport such as Bus and railway. Take the trams 5, 8, 24 or 26 from Namesti Republiky main station, from where it is 900 meters. There are parking facilities offered to the visitors outside the attraction place.
