The building also inhibits the Sahebqaraniyeh Palace inside it. The main Niavaran Palace completed in 1968 was the residence of the last Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, and the Imperial family before the Iranian Revolution. The design of the complex draws strong influence from Iranian archeological designing which the quadrilateral structure of the palace and its beautiful interiors depict. Ahmad Shahi Pavilion

The two-storied pavilion covers a huge area of eight hundred square meters. Situated to the north of Sahebqaraniyeh Palace, it was built during the Qajar era as a comfortable abode for Ahmad Shah. The building is made up of bricks façades which have various designs and patterns carved on them, and charming décor. The ground floor of the structure comprises of a hall along with a pond, in the center, covered with marble stones. Around the pond, you will witness six rooms and two corridors. The pavilion inhibits a beautiful collection of decorative objects which are made up of silver, bronze, wood, and also souvenirs from India, fascinating paintings, and medals. You will also come across some other artifacts such as decorative mineral stones, and plant and animal fossils. There is also a stone from the moon which is a popular attraction for the tourists. The second floor is adorned with a central hall and four verandas covered with gypsum tiles. On the wall in the north side of the veranda, you can admire the lion and sun patterns on the gypsum work.

The most important palace of the complex, Sahebqaraniyeh Palace, is the favorite spot of tourists. It's beautiful architecture, and even more, enticing history makes it a buzz among the tourists. The palace is home to beautiful rooms like sofreh-khaneh (the dining room), a tea house, bar, sports room, meeting room, a waiting room for the foreigners, and a dentist room. All the rooms are exclusively decorated with colorful glasses which add to the beauty of the palace.

The Jahan Nama Museum marked its grand opening for the public in 1997. The ceilings of the museum will grab your attention with interesting wood paintings depicting flowers and bird patterns. The artworks get their inspiration from the pre-historic and contemporary artwork of Iran and other countries. Some of the prominent works include the pre-Columbian works, the metal works, artworks of the Red Indians related to the first and second century before Christ. It holds contemporary artworks of Iranian artists like Sohrab Sepehri, Naser Owesi, and works of other non-Iranian artists including Paul Klee, Marc Chagall.

The private library was built in 1976 and occupies two floors and an underground floor as well. The large part of the library serves as the reading room and the book-shelves are kept on the ground floor, and the first floor. There is also an audio-visual room. The library holds a huge collection of more than 350 works depicting the contemporary art history and paintings which are priceless and timeless.
