Previously called as the United Road Stand and also the North Stand. The stand has three tiers and can hold about 26,000 people which is the highest among all the stands. The other two tiers were added in the year 1996. This is the main stand in the stadium and so it houses many other popular and important facilities like the Red Cafe, the trophy room of the club and the Manchester United Museum. The stand was named to the current name after Alex Ferguson, who managed the club for more than 25 years. A statue of Alex Ferguson was also sculpted in the stadium by Philip Jackson.

The name of the stand is due to the location of the stand in the stadium. The stand is also called as the Stretford End. The most noisy and hard core fans of the club are usually found in this stand. Originally the stand could hold almost 20,000 people. Later another tier was added to the stand and the fans moved from the other stands to this one and hung flags and banners. A statue of Law can be seen in the upper tier of the stand.

This stand is located right in front of the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand. The stand was previously called as the South Stand. People from Media and Television are also made to sit here so that they can get a clear view of the match.The name of the stand is after the legendary Sir Bobby Charlton of the Manchester United who made his debut almost 60 years back.
