Open Air Museum of Lithuania or also known as Lithuanian Folk Museum is an ethnographic museum located in the shores of Kaunas Lagoon. The museum was first established in 1966. The Open Air Museum of Lithuania was built in purpose of representing Lithuania's ethnographic regions by way of placing traditional village homes and agricultural buildings. The Open Air Museum of Lithuania has the area of 195 hectares and contains around 140 buildings from the 18th to 19th centuries. The museum was mainly divided into four areas which are Aukštaitija, Samogitia, Dzūkija and Suvalkija. Each of the area is equipped with homes, barns, granaries, stables, and other things related to what the city looks like in 18th and 19th centuries.
