Palazzo Doria Pamphilj is a magnificent private mansion located in the heart of Rome with its main entrance on the Via del Corso close to the famous fountain square, Piazza Venezia. The noble Doria Pamphilj family of Rome continues to reside in this historic building occupying a whole block in the city center. The mansion has a good private collection of sculptures, paintings, and other artifacts that are showcased in the prominent Doria Pambilj Gallery that is open to the public. The collection dates back to the mid-seventeenth century when Innocent X Pamphilj started setting up the assembly of arts. The impressive collection includes some of the priciest works of art from the best of artists, like Bernini, Rafael, Tiziano, Velázquez, Memling, Caravaggio, Brueghel el Viejo, and such others. Adjacent to the principal façade of the mansion on Via del Corso stands the Santa Maria in Via Lata, a Chapel privately owned by the Pamphilj family.
