Plaza Bolivar is a square which is located in the main capital of Colombia. It is previously called Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Constitution. The square hosts a statue of Simon Bolivar. It is located in the heart of historical area of Bogota. There is a statue of Simon Bolivar sculpted in 1846 by Pietro Tenerani, well known sculptor from Italia. The statue was the first monument in the city.
