How to Get Tickets?

Tickets to the sightseeing in the zoo can be bought from the main entrance ticket office. The southern and northern ticket offices will remain open on weekends, vacations and public holidays only. Tickets can be bought anytime until half an hour before the closing time of the zoo. The ticket counters will close at 7 pm between June to August.

How To Get Around?

Visitors are offered various facility to wander around in the zoo. You can either go on foot walking around witnessing the exotic places or use prams, mechanical and electric wheelchairs. You can also use zoo carts for children which needs the guidance of adults. Children can also use pushbikes, tricycles and push scooters accompanied by adults to wander around the zoo.

Best Time to Visit

The Prague Zoo is open round the year. However, the admission time differs for every month. The place remains open from 9 am to 4 pm during January, February, November, and December. In the month of April, May, September, and October it is open from 9 am to 6 pm. In March, the zoo will remain open from 9 am to 5 pm and in from June to August it will be open from Morning 9 am to Evening at 9 pm.

However, you can also hire a guide who is well versed with the place and is acquainted with its culture and language. How To Get There?

The zoo is located in the Praha Troja, the municipal district which is well-connected by road, rail, and boat. You can take any public transport or reach the place using private car and bikes. You can travel to the place by taking Bus no. 112 from Nadrazi Holesovice metro station or no. 236 from Pdhori Station which can be reached through ferry. Steamboat services are available from March to October which is an approximate ride of 75 minutes. There are also Ferry services to get to the zoo that travels between Podbaba and Podhori plying passengers every day. You can also take the Steamboat service or travel through bicycle for reaching the zoo with an approximate of 15 minutes travel.
