Amidst the bustling sound and busy lifestyle, Pune is undoubtedly one of the most popular destinations of India. The lush green scenic beauty of Pune is a pleasant sight. One such popular destination here is the Pune-Okayama Friendship Garden also known as the Pu La Deshpande Garden. Situated on the Sinhagad Road in Pune, the garden represents exquisitely manicured lawns with well-maintained fountains and gardens that attract a lot of tourists. This intrinsic garden in Pune draws its inspiration from the 300 years old Koraku-en Garden in Okayama, and derives its name from this famous Japanese garden. Besides, the garden is also called Pu La Deshpande, after a great Maratha writer. The architecture is indeed mesmerising, especially the natural flowing canal that passes through the entire garden. The calm and peaceful ambiance of Pune-Okayama Friendship garden attracts tourists who love to take a walk on the green carpet under the blue sky. The garden is spread across an area covering ten acres of land. There are small bridges and beautiful coloured fishes that are visible in the canal.
