Diergaarde Blijdorp was officially known as the Stichting Koninklijke Rotterdamse Diergaarde – this is a zoo which been placed in the northwestern of Rotterdam. The name was translated into “Foundation Royal Zoo of Rotterdam” in English translation and one of the oldest zoos in this country. Even this zoo had celebrated its 150th birthday party in 2007. The indigenous Diergaarde Blijdorp park had been destroyed during the bombings during the World War II in Rotterdam. Then the new zoo was built slightly move to the north from its original location and the gate was officially opened on December 7, 1940. This new zoo was made by Dutch Architect named Sybold van Ravesteyn. Even there are over than 1.4 million people visit this zoo.
