With varied flora and fauna, it highlights a diverse species of wild animals ranging from Amur Tiger to Alaskan Brown Bear. It highlights over six hundred of wildlives in over one hundred and sixty species of animals. Spot leopards, rhinos and lions lurking among the rolling grassland of the park. The dry and hot surroundings may not be hospitable for all species, but it is the home for some mysterious and beautiful creatures. Meet the animals in our 'Behind the scenes tours.' Come and interact face to face with animals from all around the world! Get close and personal with the flock and amazing animals with spectacular sites. The Santa Barbara Zoo provides you an opportunity to explore the park in a private tour group lead by an experienced guide. Interact, touch, and observe the behavior of the wild creatures which you had never seen before. It allows only six people in the group. Welcomes the guests of all ages but specific encounter restricts the age above six years old. Reserve your tour at least a week before.
A keeper for a day
As an honorary Zookeeper, spend a day in Santa Barbara Zoo with your dear and favorite creatures. 'Keeper for a Day' is an interactive program for the one interested in conservation events and animals protection. Get a fantastic chance to participate and assist the zookeeper in their daily activities, from food preparation to feeding and enrichment, from animals training to enclosure cleaning! Hurry up. Everyone can apply for these activities which are above the age of eighteen years with proof of a negative tuberculosis test. Book your turn.
