Earlier when the event was started, it constituted only a few ice statues which were a creation of some high school students, but in the present time, it has taken the shape of a large, commercialized celebration adorning the city with its extraordinary allure. Featuring spectacular and interesting snow and ice sculptures, the Snow Festival is staged on three different sites including the Odori Site, the Susukino Site, and the Tsu Dome site. Odori Site is the main site of the annual event which takes place in Odori Park. Visitors can admire gigantic snow sculptures, measuring more than fifteen meters in height along with a dozen smaller snow statues here. Various music and dance concerts and recreational events are organized in the Odori site. The Susukino Site exhibits about one hundred large and small ice sculptures. In the Tsu Dome Site, visitors can spend a memorable time with their families as it serves them with an array of snow slides, along with an opportunity to enjoy snow rafting and sight of some more snow sculptures. Inside the dome, you can find various food stalls selling delicious Japanese snacks.
