On December 10, 1977, Dr. Toh Chin Chye opened the Science Center Singapore for the very first time. Before that, Singapore Government converted the National Museum into the Museum of Art and History and founded an institution for the education of science and technology. Nowadays, more than one million people from around the world visit this center every year.

This science center is located in Jurong East. The location is very easy to reach by MRT, bus, and car. If you take the MRT, just take the nearest MRT station and get off at Jurong East Station. After that, walk for about 8 minutes to the science center. If you take a bus, just take the bus number 335, 198, 178, and 66.
