How To Get Around?

Shanghai has plenty of public transport to travel. You can get around through metros, taxi, buses, and ferry. Take the subway on line 1, line 2, or line 8 and stepped down at the station Peopleís Square. Get off through Exit 1 and walk for five minutes towards the south, you will reach your destination. You can also grab the bus 46, 49, 123, 145, 312, 451 for Peopleís Square. Or you can travel in Shangchuan Special Line and get off at the stoppage of the museum. City Sightseeing bus is the most comfortable mode to get around. Line 1 and 2 of this bus leads you to the Shanghai Museum. Moreover, getting off at Wushenglu Xizang Zhonglu Station through tunnel line 6, you will reach the spot. The museum can also explore on foot if you stay near the destination spot.

How To Get There?

You can get in Shanghai by plane, train, car or bus. Pudong International Airport is the main gateway to the city. Book the flight for the same. You can also fly domestically to Hongqiao Airport. Visitors need to have security check at the entrance. The museum accepts only eight thousand entries in a day as free admission. No merchandise or advertisement distribution inside the spot. An adult must accompany children below 1.3 meters in height. Do not touch or climb on objects in the gallery. Museum tickets allow you access to cafÈs, gift shops, restrooms, library, and exhibit galleries. It strictly prohibits monopods, tripods, flashes or photography. However, you can carry cell phones and cameras inside the museum but should not use in the exhibition areas. The Lost and Found center is available in the museum for your convenience.
