Sea Coast. Located 1,5 km off the coast near Chernomorets, St Anastasia Island is a Bulgarian Islet in the Black Sea. This 12 meters above sea level island is inhabited island of Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. Electricity and drinking water are provided in this island make visitors feel comfortable. During 18th-19th century, this island was reconstructed. Since 1923, the church in this island was changed into a prison. Today, the Bulgarian Orthodox Church claims this island as a property of the church. Besides a church, there is a lighthouse that was built by a French company, as well as a museum, a restaurant, a small quay, a conference hall and two guesthouses with a total of five rooms available to tourists. In the summer, the island is accessible from Burgas via boat shutttle services multiple times a day.

How To Get There?

St Anastasia Island can be reached by ship in Magazia 1. 'Magazia 1' is located near the entrance of the Public access area of Port of Burgas which is 5 minutes away walking from the entrance of the Port – along 'Knyaz Aleksander Batenberg' street. You can reach 'Magazia 1' on foot, by car or by bicycle. In Magazia 1, you can find a ship which is called 'Anastasia' with 72 seats indoor and 27 seats are on the deck. This ship is equipped with wheelchair, bar, toilet, plasma screen and intercom system. If you are planning to use this ship, you have to buy tickets, either one way or two way tickets. Private boat and yacht are available to be rent to visit St Anastasia Island.
