Providing respite from your routine life with a complete package of entertainment, education and enjoyment is Manitoba Museum. Step into it to experience a field day. It is located in Manitoba’s Winnipeg, Canada. The city makes no bones about the fact that it is the largest museum in Manitoba. It was formerly known as the Manitoba Museum of Man and Nature. A Canadian architect, Herbert Henry Gatenby Moody designed it in 1965. Renowned for being Manitoba’s largest heritage center, the museum is dedicated to the presentation of human and natural heritage. To satiate your scientific and astronomical thirst, a Science Gallery hall and planetarium shows are at your service. A virtual underwater observatory opens the window to marine life of Hudson’s Bay region by recreating as it was in Ordovician period, about 450 million years ago. Another mentionable feature that never misses catching the eyes of the tourists is the presence of a full-size replica of the Nonsuch, a ship whose voyage led to the launch of Hudson’s Bay Company. You can witness 1920’s Winnipeg street scene recreated at the Urban Gallery. Apart from this gallery, you can experience other galleries like Earth History, Grasslands, etc. The Science Gallery lets you into a world where you can experience the life of a scientist by immersing totally into the character.
