Cekin Mansion is a beautiful building located on the northern end of the Tivoli City Park. It contains the Museum of Contemporary History of Slovenia. The fascinating museum has an incredible collection of artefacts, objects, photographs and artworks depicting the rich history of Slovenia. The collection is intriguing and gives an insight into the legacy and tales of the country.
Located at one of the ends of the Jakopič Promenade, Tivoli castle has an enthralling architecture. The mansion was built in the 17th century on the same area were once stood another castle belonging to the Renaissance period. Joseph Radetzky renovated the castle and gave its present Neo-classical style. In front of the castle stand four cast iron dogs designed by Anton Dominik Fernkorn, an Austrian sculptor.
Tivoli Pond is another beautiful attraction of the park and a perfect place for recreation. The pond is rectangular in shape with shallow waters. In the middle of the pond is an art piece created by France Kralj, an expressionist sculptor. The art piece made of bronze depicts two vertically standing fishes.
Tivoli hall is an indoor sports arena where you can enjoy numerous sports. Sports lovers are going to love the place. Indulge in the games and have fun with your family.The hall also contains a large ice hockey arena with a seating capacity of around 7000 and a basketball court with a capacity for 4500 people.
