Midway's Guided Island Tour includes serpentine ladders in the flight control sections and navigation of the ship. Just experience the special tour onboard! An aircraft carrier's island is a center that commands the operations of the flight deck and the whole ship. This island is situated on the flight deck and elevates from the board of aircraft ship. Expert Midway Docents will explain Navigational chart room, Air Operations, Pri-fly, Captain's at sea cabin, and Captain's Bridge, during your visit here.

Spread across 663 acres, San Diego International Airport is one of the busiest international airports in the US. You can reach San Diego through Uber, private cab, personal car, rental car, flights, etc. depending upon your current location. There are numerous reasonable hotels around the airport for expedient accommodation and they can help you find a round-trip transportation from the hotel to the museum.

Additional Info

It will take you around three hours to explore the museum, so plan your dress and meals accordingly. The parking lot can hold just 300 cars, so reach early. If you wish to take the train or trolley, the Santa Fe Depot station and MTS station are just a few blocks (walking distance) from the Midway. Avoid high heels as you might have to walk around a lot.
