Boababs are an interesting species of trees found in Africa that seem to grow upside down. The Boababs forest will take you to an amazing world that will completely fascinate you. The forests are home to African Savannah Elephants. Weighing between 3000 to 6000 kg and over 3 meters in height, the African Savannah Elephants are the largest terrestrial animals found on earth. Here you would also find meerkats and dik-dik hiding behind the bushes.



Bai is the swampy region of the equatorial forest. It replicates the meeting point of various animal species as in the natural forests who come in search of fresh water and tender vegetation. Here you would witness a variety of animal species including potamoqueros or the wild pigs, red buffaloes, mangabeys, coastal gorillas, chimpanzee, etc.

How to Get Tickets?

There are entry tickets to the Bioparc that can be bought online as well as offline. Purchase the tickets online and save your time from standing in the long queues at the ticket counters. The ticket price for an adult is 23,80 euros and that for children from four to twelve years is 18 euros. Children below four years get free admission. For senior citizens, retired persons and pensioners the ticket prices are 17,50 euros. You can also buy an Annual B pass and visit the park as many times as you wish to, in a year.

The Valencia Bioparc is spread on a vast region and has numerous exhibits that you can explore at your own pace. The park is properly signposted hence, there would not be any trouble in exploring it. You can indulge in talks with the caretakers or take guided tours if you wish to. However, for outside exploration the best time to visit the city would be from April through May that experience pleasant weather with abundant sunshine. Valencia Bioparc is open 365 days of the year. It opens at 10 in the morning and its closing time varies as per the daylight hours in different months of the year.

You can explore the zoo on your own, but guided tours are also available. You can opt for guided tours if you wish to.

How To Get There?

Valencia has an extensive public transport system that efficiently connects its all the major attractions. Valencia Airport connects the city to other important destinations around the globe. Once you reach there, getting to the Bioparc is quite easy. You can reach the place easily via bus, train and metro. You can also rent a bike and enjoy a ride to the park or hire a taxi. Parking facility is also available at the park, hence you can reach the place by your own private car.

The visitors are forbidden to bring food and drinks inside the park except water. Please note that feeding the animals is prohibited. Photography is allowed inside the park but using flash is not permitted as it may disturb the animals.
