The Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Bengaluru, was built up in the memory of Bharat Ratna Sir M Visvesvaraya. It is an excellent place for kids interested in Science. A lot of science experiments are demonstrated here. Many exhibits like the rocket, satellite, first, etc. are also displayed. The place is a must visit for young minds.
How to Get Tickets?
Tickets are available at the entrance of the museum and the charge for General Visitors is Rs.50/-, if you want to visit Taramandal, then you have to pay Rs.10/-. Passage to the Historical center is free for the armed force, naval force, flying corps and police staff in uniform and the physically tested and children below five years of age.
How To Get Around?
The exhibition hall is at Kasturba Road in the sylvan surroundings of Cubbon Park encompassed by formal structures like Vidhan Soudha, High court and so on. It is only 5 km from the City Railway and Bus station.
Best Time to Visit
Bengaluru has pleasant weather so you can plan your visit throughout the year. Museum remains open from 9.30 am to 6 pm. It remains open all day throughout the year except Ganesha Chathurthi and Deepavali.
How To Get There?
Bangaluru can be reached through flight, train, bus or taxi. The Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru connects the city with all the major domestic airports and railway stations. From the airport, it is at a distance of 35 km. It will take about 1 hour to reach the museum via Bellary road and 1 hour 30 minutes via the new airport road.
