Best Time to Visit
The Zhongshe flower market is one of the top attractions in Taichung all through the year. Summer and winter holidays in Taiwan are the peak seasons. The Tulip season between Jan-Mar is a major crowd puller. The sunflower season is from May to October. The cosmos flowers, African touch-me-not and the lilies bloom between January and May and in November and December. May to November is the season for Sulphur cosmos flowers. You can enjoy the beautiful rose and sage blooms all through the year. Marigold flowers bloom from January to June and in December. The majestic Lotus blooms can be enjoyed between June and September. Enjoy the exotic red sage from January to May and from September to December.

How To Get There?
Zhongshe flower market is located on Sanfeng Road in Houli Dist, in the city of Taichung. The flower market is easily accessible by all modes of transport from Taipei. By Bus Take the Taipei - Fengyuan Bus and alight at the stop for Zhongshe Flower Market. By Train Hop on the west line to reach Houli station. You can catch a cab from there to the flower market. If you prefer to walk and save the taxi fare, you can get down at Tai'an station. The flower market is at a walking distance of 20 minutes. Take a private taxi from any of the taxi operators to travel directly from Taipei to Wuling Farm.An expensive option but it is faster(around 1 hour 45 mins) and more convenient. By Car If you are driving your own car get on the national highway No.1 to take the interchange at Houli. Continue on Houke Road till you reach Sanfung road on your left. Further on for 2 km, you will reach the flower market. If you are driving from the northern direction, take the interchange at Sanyi and continue for around 7 km towards Houli.
January to March is the Tulip season and is considered the peak season as the flower market gets a lot of footfall in this season. Children between 3 – 12 years and visitors above 65 years get discounted rates for admission. Children below 3 years have free admission.
