Zoo Tampa is a fascinating and picturesque zoo spread over a massive area of sixty-three acre in Tampa, United States. The zoo is a non-profit organisation and is an important centre for Florida wildlife conservation and biodiversity. The Lowry Park Zoological Society operates and manages the Zoo Tampa at Lowry Park. The place takes pride in being the Best Family Friendly Zoo in the States. Earlier, the zoo was located on the grounds of the University of Tampa with a tiny animal collection. But in the year 1957 it was moved to Sligh Avenue by the name of Lowry Park Zoo. Later it went under renovation in the year 1989. It is home to more than thirteen hundred animals who live in the most beautiful, tropical, and zoological surroundings in the world. The zoo acts as a bond between humans and animals which is pure, compassionate and alluring.

Zoo Tampa at Lowry Park is a well planned and very well-organised park which is designed in a way that it does not hamper the convenience of both, the visitors as well as the animals. The entire premises of the zoo is divided into various sections. The Asian Gardens which exhibit Asian animals like Indian rhinoceros, babirusa, Malayalam Tigers, etc. It also has an aviary which includes mandarin ducks, doves, pond turtles, etc. The Florida Wildlife Centre holds several North American and Central American species of animals like striped skunks, Orinoco crocodiles. There is a discovery centre in this section of the zoo which highlights the amphibians inhabiting the zoo. The Primate World is the best-designed section of the zoo. Every exhibit of this section is connected by a system of rocky waterfalls which makes it an alluring sight for the visitors. Here you can see chimpanzees, orangutang, mandrills, ring-tailed lemurs, and gibbons.

The Ituri Forest section includes birds such as greater flamingos, shoebill storks, and saddle-billed storks. You will also meet different varieties of tortoises in the Safari Africa region.

The aviary is bliss for bird-lovers as it is home to many birds including the free-flight birds and the waterfowl. The prominent birds which inhibit the zoo are great hornbills, red-legged seriemas, Raggiana, toco toucans, white-faced whistling ducks, tanagers, and guineafowl. You also get a chance to see the laziest animal on the planet, the two-toed sloth, doing what he loves to do the most(hanging on the trees lazily).

The Wallaroo Station Children's Zoo has an interactive section featuring the habitat of bats, A 'Flying Bananas” ride, a family roller coaster, and a play area for kids called 'the Billabong.' The zoo has many rides to entertain the visitors. These rides include a kid's special train ride, and a log flume ride called Roaring Springs. The ride is a three-story drop ride which is full of fun and is very exciting.
