What Should I Wear?
Atlanta is pretty hot in summers. In order to beat the heat, carry a couple pair of shorts, some t-shirts or tank tops, and other breathable lightweight items of clothing. If you love water parks, carry a swimsuit. Sudden rainstorms commonly occur during summers; hence a waterproof jacket is a must. If you are traveling during winters, a pair or two of jeans, some long sleeved t-shirts, a sweater and a medium bulk jacket would be the need of the hour. For some extra warmth pack some scarves, gloves and knit-caps. It rarely snows in Atlanta, so snowshoes are not needed for trekking through the Arctic.
Best Time to Visit
If you are interested in outdoor activities and music concerts, the best time to visit Atlanta would be from May to August. Summers are extremely hot and July is the hottest month, so spring and fall are recommended for visiting as the temperature is cooler and the room rates are also cheaper. If you want even lower room rates, winter is the preferable time. Atlanta gets very little snow and you can enjoy activities like hiking trails, biking, golf and tennis.
