Constructed in the year 1591, Charminar is a grand mosque of Hyderabad. Crowned the title of World Heritage Site by UNESCO, it is surrounded by Laad Bazaar at its west and Makkah Masjid at its south-west. Situated on the bank of Musi River, Charminar is the architectural and archaeological treasure of India. The top floor of this historical place is more than four hundred years old. Built by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, Charminar mosque features a square structure with four grand arches; each of which opens into four streets. Located in the city centre, the Buddha Statue of Hyderabad is a monolith and considered the tallest monolith of Gautam Buddha in the world. Inspired with the Statue of Liberty of the USA, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh started its construction during his tenure. The statue features the height of fifty-eight feet with more than three hundred and fifty tons of weight which makes it the tallest monolith. Bestowed at the Lumbini Park in the Hussain Sagar Island, it can be reached within fifteen minutes through a ferry.
