Kofuki-Ji Temple was established in the year 710. It is one of the best historic temples of Nara. The architectural structure of the temple comprises of a Golden hall called Chukondo, a three and five-storied pagoda, a bathhouse known as Oyuya, an octagonal hall divided into two sections: north which is called Hokuendo and south referred as Nanendo. The treasure of Kofukuji temple includes the Devas of eight classes, Ashura, ten great disciples, Amoghapasa, and thousand armed Kamon. The temple is entitled with World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
This oldest building of the world was founded in the year 607. The temple premises include a ground divided into two groups: Sai-in Garen and To-in Garan. Sai-in Garen consists of the main hall, Kondo and a central gate, Chumon. The central attractions of Horyu-ji are Yemedono and Kongo Rikishi. Yemedono- Hall of Dreams, has more than fifty walls which are adorned with murals.
