National Museum of Saudi Arabia
The National Museum of Riyadh is one of the most famous museums of Saudi Arabia. It is located at King Abdul-Aziz Historical Centre that portrays the history of the Arabian Peninsula and the message directed by Islam. The museum has several exhibits organized in eight exhibition halls or galleries.
King Abdullah Park
King Abdullah Park is a big city park of Riyadh and a must visit to get some fresh air and feel Riyadh beyond the high-rise buildings. The lush garden beautified with Date Palms is great for a picnic. Its main attraction is the fountain show that makes the already illuminated park a lot more beautiful and colorful. The park opens late in the evening and has a serene ambiance. There are numerous stalls in the park where you can enjoy shopping.
Salam Park is the freshest addition to Riyadh and is a prime attraction visited by tourists and locals alike. Located in the heart of the city the park was originally a privately-owned farm, quite popular for its Date palms and housed various buildings including a 70 year old mosque. It was converted to what we know today as Salam Park due to its strategic location and Riyadh's need for more open parks.
Riyadh zoo is a popular zoological garden of the city. Spread out on a vast area of 55 acres, the zoo has a beautiful landscape and is home to around 1500 animals of around 40 species. As you enter the zoo you are greeted by beautiful flamingos that are the main attraction of the place. All the animals in the zoo are kept in their natural habitat. You can undertake toy train service at the zoo which takes you on the tour of the place giving you a glimpse of it's beauty.
Janadriyah Cultural and Heritage Festival
Janadriyah is an annual festival of Gulf attracting millions of visitors. The largest festival of its kind, Janadriyah festival is hosted at Al Janadriyah village built to serve as a place for the festival. The village is divided according to the provinces of Saudi Arabia and each section displays the culture, food, traditional dresses, food, architecture, etc. unique to that province.
Al Khaimah Theme Park
Have fun with your family and friends at Al Khaimah theme park. It is a beautiful recreational park and the oldest in Riyadh offering numerous options for both young and old. What Should I Wear?
Men and women in Riyadh even foreigners must follow the dress law imposed in the city. While travelling around one should wear clothes that cover legs and shoulders. Women have to wear abaya, a loose black cloak over their clothes and a headscarf called hijab. Shorts cannot be worn even by men. These laws imply when you are out in the city. There are many western grounds that do not follow these rules but there also you need to dress appropriately.

Owing to its location, Riyadh experiences extreme temperature conditions. The summers are extremely hot while winters are quite cold.
